北海市场在原油现货市场中占有非常重要的地位，因为全球有3/4的原油是以北海Brent原油为定价基准。所谓的Brent并不是指Brent这一单一油种，而是五个北海油种中最便宜的那一个，这五个油种分别是：Brent、Forties 、Osbereg、Ekofisk和Troll。

Brent的价格主要有三：现货价格（DTD Brent）、远期价格（Cash BFOE）和期货价格（Future）。现货价格是在普氏窗口交易出来的，评估的是船期在10天到全月的实货原油价格。远期价格指的是未来三个月BFOE的价格，由窗口市场交易，经普氏评估发布。期货价格应该是我们最熟悉的，它就是我们每天看到的洲际交易所（ICE）交易出来的Brent期货的价格，最长可看到10年后的价格。

LONDON, June 4 (Reuters) - North Sea crudedifferentials were firm across all grades except Troll on Tuesday after briskbidding and on the back of the quality uncertainty of Russian Urals.
